  1. To use IDT's Product and Company Information CD follow the
  2.     instructions below for your system.
  3. **************************************************************
  4. 1.    Install Acrobat(TM) Reader, if you do not already it installed. The latest
  5.     version
  6.     (as of September 1995) is included on the CD-ROM for 
  7.     Macintosh, Windows 3.1x, Windows 95, WindowsNT,
  8.     Sun Solaris, and SGI IRIX operating systems.
  9.  
  10. 2.    Open any of the three index documents on the CD. 
  11.     PRODNOS is sorted by product number and gives the description and a
  12.         reference to the data sheet. 
  13.     DOCINDEX gives the title and reference for all documents on the CD, 
  14.         faxback, databooks, or in print, sorted by topic.
  15.     PRODSEL is a selector guide to all our products.  Each product has a
  16.         data sheet identified.

  18. 3.    In all three indexes, documents that are available on the CD have blue
  19.     boxes around their references.  Double click on one of these outlined
  20.     references to retrieve the corresponding document. (Note: the DOS and UNIX
  21.     versions of Acrobat do not support these hyperlinks).

  24. ALTERNATIVE ACCESS WITH A WEB BROWSER
  25. **************************************************************
  26. Instead of using the links in the Acrobat Index files, you may use any web
  27. browser to access these documents.  Use your web browser to open the file on
  28. the CD at /WEB/WELCOME.HTM.  (The URL is: <file:///IDT_INFO/WEB/WELCOME.HTM>)
  29. This is an html version of the DocIndex document, and can be used to quickly
  30. access any of the documents on the CD.  You will still need Acrobat to view the
  31. documents. (note of apology from the webmaster: We don't make these files on PCs, 
  32. but we had to change all the names to upper case 8.3 so PCs could use them.)

  34. The Acrobat Reader should be set up as a helper-app in your web browser with
  35. MIME TYPE:application SUBTYPE:pdf EXTENSION:pdf FILETYPE:PDF ACTION:Launch.
  36. Future versions of the Netscape Browser will include an Acrobat Reader.

  51.     Acrobat Reader System Requirements Macintosh:
  52.         Macintosh computer with 68020 or greater processor
  53.         Apple® System Software version 7.0 or greater
  54.         2MB of application RAM

  56. 1.    Install Acrobat Reader, if you do not already it installed. Version 2.1 is
  57.     included on the CD-ROM.

  59.     a. Double-click the IDT_INFO disk icon to open the CD.     
  60.     b. Double-click the ACROBAT folder. Within the ACROBAT folder, double-click 
  61.         the ACROMAC folder. 
  62.     c. Within the ACROMAC folder, double-click the Disk1 folder.
  63.     d. Within the Disk1 folder, double-click the ACROREAD.MAC icon.
